Root Chakra 

The root chakra is our first energy center and is located at the base of the spine. It provides the foundation of our life –  representing survival, safety, security, and stability. The root chakra provides the links between our energetic system and the physical world.It gives us the motivation to eat, sleep and procreate. When it comes to our psychological and spiritual nature, it helps us develop our personal integrity, self-esteem and sense of belonging. Without balancing it, no matter how hard we try, higher chakras can not be healed

Psychological symptoms: anxiety disorders, fear, panic attacks, worry, overthinking, promiscuity, depression, nightmares, emotionally disconnected, aggression.

Physical symptoms: lethargic and physically drained, problems in the colon, bladder, intestines, and lower back. In men, prostate problems may occur. Eating disorders may also be a sign of a root chakra imbalance.

Sacral Chakra

The center of our emotional, creative, and sexual energy. It is located three inches below your belly button above our genitals. It regulates the energy associated with passion, pleasure, creativity, and sensuality.

When the sacral chakra is balanced, your relationship with the world and other people is centered around nurturing, pleasure, harmonious exchange.

Psychological Symptoms: Dependency, co-dependency with other people or substances. Being ruled by your emotions, feeling stuck, emotionally reactive, and creatively blocked.

Physical Symptoms: Feeling numb, out of touch how you feel, low libido or overindulgence in sexual obsessions, constantly fatigued, and reproductive problems.

Meditate by chanting the sound VAM.

Try jumping, screaming, laughing, crying, or other forms of catharsis to release emotions. Pick an activity that you’re interested in such as sculpting, drawing, photography, quilting, jewelry making or cooking.

Use sacral chakra crystals such as carnelian, orange calcite, jasper, and moonstone.

Solar plexus

A balanced Manipura chakra allows you to have better control over your thoughts and emotional responses, set healthy boundaries, and be at peace with yourself. Its physical association is with digestive function.

Psychological Symptoms: Being overly defensive, feeling closed down, jealousy; fear of intimacy, relying on other’s approval and attention, trying to please at all cost, putting oneself in the role of the savior or falling into victimization, excessive isolation, not being able to forgive

Physical Symptoms: Respiratory ailments, such as lung infection, bronchitis, circulatory and heart-related issues

Throat

The throat chakra is located at the center of the neck. It represents the ability to speak and communicate clearly and effectively. Imbalanced attributed would be shyness, being withdrawn, arrogance, and increased anxiety.

The Throat chakra is about the expression of yourself: Your truth, purpose in life, creativity. Note that this chakra has a natural connection with the sacral chakra, center of emotions and creativity. The throat chakra’s emphasis is on expressing and projecting the creativity into the world according to its authenticity.

Psychological symptoms: insecurity, timidity, gossiping, nonstop talking, and being verbally aggressive or mean, Not being able to keep secrets, to keep your word, telling lies, lack of connection with a vocation or purpose in life

Physical symptoms: hoarseness, sore throat, thyroid problems, laryngitis, neck pain

Simply speaking in a heartfelt way can work wonders to strengthen and balance the throat chakra.

Third eye

The third eye chakra is located in the center of the forehead, between the eyebrows. It represents intuition, foresight, and is driven by openness and imagination. Imbalanced attributes would be lack of direction and lack of clarity

The Third Eye is not only the seat of wisdom, but also a seat of conscience. This is where you not only see what is going on, but you also know what it means. This is where your sense of justice and your ethics originate.

Crown Chakra

The crown chakra is located at the top of the head. It represents states of higher consciousness and devine connection. Imbalanced attributes would be cynicism, disregarding what is sacred, closed mindedness, and disconnection with spirit.

The crown chakra is associated with the transcendence of our limitations, whether they are personal or bound to space and time. It is where the paradox becomes norm, where seemingly opposites are one. The quality of awareness that comes with the crown chakra is universal, transcendent.

Psychological symptoms: Apathy, depression, greed, egotism, feelings of alienation, spiritual disconnection, narrow-mindedness
